Having trouble logging in to Quotestack? This guide covers the most common authentication issues and how to resolve them. Quotestack uses magic link authentication, you receive a secure link via email that logs you in without needing a password.

How Magic Link Login Works

When you click "Sign In", Quotestack sends a one-time login link to your email address. Clicking the link in your inbox logs you in automatically with no password required. The link expires after a short period for security

Magic Link Not Arriving

If you're not receiving the login email:

• Check your spam/junk folder - magic link emails sometimes get caught by spam filters
• Check you're using the correct email address - the one you originally signed up with
• Wait a minute - emails can take up to 60 seconds to arrive depending on your email provider
• Check your email inbox search - search for "Quotestack" or "magic link" to find the email
• Try again - click the sign-in button to request a fresh magic link

Magic Link Expired or Not Working

Magic links expire after a short period for security. If you click a link and see an error:

• Request a new link - go back to the login page and enter your email again
• Click the most recent email - if you requested multiple links, only the latest one is valid
• Don't copy-paste partial links - make sure you're clicking the full link or copying the entire URL
• Check your browser - try opening the link in the same browser you requested it from
  

Logged Out Unexpectedly

If you find yourself logged out without choosing to sign out:

• Session expiry - for security, sessions expire after a period of inactivity. Simply log in again with a new magic link
• Browser cleared cookies - if you cleared your browser data or cookies, your session will be lost
• Incognito/private mode - sessions don't persist in private browsing windows. Use a normal browser window for persistent login
• Multiple devices - logging in on a new device doesn't log you out of other devices, but each device needs its own magic link
  

Account Not Found

If you see a message saying your account doesn't exist:

• Check the email address - make sure it's the exact email you used to create your account
• Case sensitivity - email addresses are case-sensitive. Try the exact format you originally used
• Different email - you may have signed up with a different email address (e.g. personal vs work email)
• New account needed - if you've never signed up, you'll need to create a new account first
  

Team Member Can't Access the Account

If a team member is having trouble logging in:

• Check they've been invited - team members need to be added by an owner or admin before they can log in
• Check the invitation email - they should have received an email invitation with a link to set up their account
• Verify their role - their permissions may restrict access to certain areas of the platform
• Re-send the invitation - if the original invite expired, the account owner can send a new one from the Team page
  

Browser Compatibility

Quotestack works best in modern browsers. If you're experiencing login issues:

• Use an up-to-date browser - Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari (latest versions)
• Enable JavaScript - Quotestack requires JavaScript to be enabled
• Enable cookies - session management requires cookies to be allowed for the Quotestack domain
• Disable conflicting extensions - some privacy or ad-blocking extensions can interfere with authentication
